I want so bad

to read C.S. Lewis again.

Ever get that urge? Want your brain stretched out and your insides washed?

And yet... I read the Bible every day, how shallow my soul must be.

Thou, Lord, dost show mercy; forgiving Thou art;
Abundant Thy kindness and love
To all those who sincerely upon theyy do call.
My voice, Lord, attend from above
Ps 86:5-6

Y E S ! Three days ago I just had the strongest "craving" for Mere Christianity, and don't you know I couldn't find it anywhere? And I just know it is in the house somewhere (most likely in my room somewhere).

Oh well, thats the way it generally goes with me - I'll probably find it in about two weeks when I am soooo busy I can only dream about reading anything more than a short newspaper article.

Entirely on a different subject - did you know I'm making Jordan's groom's cake? It's going to be so fun!

Yup... I had that problem. I came home from school this summer and immediately picked up the Chronicles of Narnia and finally resurfaced a couple of days later, having found new light and life within the world of Narnia. Those books are amazing. But I need to pick up some other Lewis, too.

Hey, I understand we'll see y'all in a couple weeks! coolio!

I know what you mean! I have wanted to pick up some C.S. Lewis books. I need to go to our bookshelves and get one to read. But how right you are about coming before God with shallow souls. What a merciful God we have! So many times we go before Him with shallow and "stained" souls, and yet He forgives us.....

I cannot wait to see you again!!! You are so much fun. :D I hope you guys are home when we invade this coming Sunday......and if you are in Texas, I guess we will just have to sleep on your roof without you or something.

And...um...yes, I am a horrible terrible person and did not even read the post! But I do like your posts, and I shall come back to read them to my hearts content when I have more time.

See you soon, D.v.

Hey, how're things going? I haven't spoken to you in a goodly amount of time. Which isn't grand you know. In fact its rather bad, or something, and something should be done about it. Or something else.
